Ambassador Hisham EL-ZIMAITY, is currently Board Member, and Secretary General of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, ECFA; Member of Japan-Egypt Business Council, JEBC; and Member of the Board of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)
He is a former Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations & Multilateral Diplomacy; and for American Affairs.
He was Ambassador of Egypt to Japan, Hungary, Slovenia and Pakistan; a Delegate of Egypt to the United Nations in Geneva and New York; and former Diplomat to Sénégal, The Gambia & Cape Verde; to Belgium, Luxembourg & the European Union; and to France.
He is also former Director-Dean of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies, (IDS); and Director of the Cairo Centre for Training on Conflict Resolution & Peacekeeping in Africa, (CCCRP).
Ambassador El-Zimaity, born in Cairo on 13th March 1955, graduated as a political scientist. He speaks Arabic, French & English
