Former Assistant of Egyptian Foreign Minister for International Legal Affairs and Treaties, having served as Ambassador to Egypt in a number of Countries.

Head of the Arab League Mission in New York and Washington.

Worked as a legal advisor in the Egyptian-Israeli peace negotiations and in the Taba negotiations.

Representing Egypt in the Sixth Legal Committee of the United Nations General Assembly and several special legal committees, such as the Committee on the Definition of Aggression, the Terrorism Committee and the International Trade Law Commission.

Representing Egypt in international legal conferences such as the Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Geneva Convention for the Victims of War and the Montreal Convention on Civil Aviation.
