On 14 February 2021, the Council addressed a letter to the Embassy of the Republic of the Sudan in Cairo, congratulating Ms. Maryam Al-Sadeq Al-Mahdi on the occasion of assuming the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan. The depth of ties between Egypt and Sudan was stressed, as well as the need to further strengthen relations between the two countries to face various challenges, including coordination to establish joint events to address and consult on these challenges, and for the council to be a part of them.
