On May 24, 2023, ECFA organized the first preparatory consultative meeting to prepare for a conference on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Glorious October War of 1973, which concluded with the following:
1- The conference is held for one day, Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
2- The conference will be held in two sessions/two axes (military and diplomatic):
First session (military axis):
1- An overview of the Egyptian military position in the pre-war period (from 1967 to 1973).
2- The external military role in the war:

The U.S. role.
-
The Soviet role.
-
The Arab role.
Second session (diplomatic axis):
1- A general overview of the pre-war international and regional political environment.
2- The role of various media institutions.
3- The role of Egyptian diplomacy during and post war:
-
At the Arab level (including oil diplomacy).
-
At the international level and in the United Nations (the General Assembly and the Security Council).

The Kilometer 101 negotiations and the first and second disengagements, leading to the conclusion of the peace treaty.
4- The importance of using what Egyptian diplomats and military personnel left behind in their memoirs, Kissinger’s telegrams during the war period, the memoirs of U.S. officials, and the relevant memoirs of Israeli leaders, in addition to the Agranat Commission report.
5- Inviting the youth of the Diplomatic Institute and the Coordination Committee of Parties’ Youth Leaders and Politicians to attend the conference, along with a number of media outlets, to further promote the Egyptian efforts and their rights in this great epic against the Israeli slandering and its media falsification.
